Essay Contest Winner

Congratulations to Sophia Hernandez for winning the 2010 Coleman University Essay Contest!

Representatives from Coleman University delivered Sophia her prize, a new Sony Vaio F series laptop computer with an Intel Quad Core Processor!

Sophia's essay, "How Has Social Media Affected Society" offers an insight into how students who are about to embark on career paths in the web 2.0 era perceive and utilize new media. Since students like Sophia are the people who will be literally shaping the future from right about now onward, it's important that the community take a moment and pay attention to their views.

The contest, which offers a venue to present these student's opinions, is part of Coleman University's continued commitment to community support and academic achievement.

Sophia was presented with her new computer at Valley Center High School on November 4th, 2010.
