3D printers are starting to take the plunge into the mainstream consumer home market. People are now printing their consumer goods from home. Anything from a drinking cup to a superhero action figure, fashion accessories, home goods, or mechanical parts. Medical and pharmaceutical companies are even now printing in genetic material and it is estimated that in 8 to 10 years, they will be able to print functional kidneys.
Coleman University students have the exciting opportunity to explore this new technology and bring their ideas to life! This exclusive club will utilizes the following technologies and software:
• MakerBot Replicator 2X
• Makerware for Digitizer
