Career Services
A career begins with connections. Our Career Services Department works one-on-one with students to make their careers a reality. By collaborating with external partnerships, the Career Services Center provides a variety of professional opportunities to our qualified pool of students. We encourage students to meet with an advisor early on for career planning and throughout
their academic careers to learn the latest job search strategies that contribute to a student’s ability to secure meaningful career positions.

The Career Services department provides a variety of professional development services from resume writing tips, to mock interviews, to employment assistance. In addition, Career Services Advisors conduct workshops on a variety of job search topics and locate and develop job leads. They also process job orders from local companies and send out resumes for jobs that match the qualifications and interests of the student.

While we don’t guarantee employment for each student, we do provide the necessary tools to ensure students are ready for the technology job market. On top of our personal assistance, our advisors help students excel by giving professional development resources including our Career Services Workbook. The workbook contains pertinent information about resumes, cover letters, interview techniques, salary negotiating, and business etiquette.

When diplomas are handed out and tassels are turned, Career Services advisors will ensure that your job search will be simple, efficient, and effective as a graduating student. The real world can be intimidating, but employment opportunities will be available to you. Secure your first job in the world of information technology, but let your Career Services Advisor guide you every step of the way.

Financial Aid
The Financial Aid Office coordinates federal, state, institutional, and private financial assistance programs. Administrators are available on a walk-in or appointment basis to provide individual counseling to students. They offer advice and assistance with loans, scholarships, grants, and work study programs.

Applicants undergo a needs analysis calculation to determine the amount of resources they will need to contribute to the total cost of the student’s education. Don’t forget to meet with one of the Financial Aid Officers as soon as registration has been completed to ensure you don’t miss out on the opportunities available for you.
