Symposium on Reforming "Tajdid" in Religions

Coleman University is happy to host a professional workshop on research and modernism. Professor Robert Thompson and professor Michael Lodahl of Point Loma Nazarene University will hold a workshop on modernism in research and how it influences society.

Themes:

  • The concept of Reforming "Tajdid" and its importance among religions followers.
  • The difference between reforming "Tajdid" and legal opinion.
  • Reforming "Tajdid" regulations: a)Reforming regulations related to reformers. b)Reforming regulations related to religions.
  • Fields of Reforming: a) Theology b) Hadith c) Jurisprudence
  • Wrong Concepts about reforming and its most prominent advocates in Islamic World.

To attend the workshop please contact Dr. Rasha Roshdy, faculty member. There will be English/Arabic translation. Open to Coleman University staff and students.
